Machinery Division
C & S Engineering specializes in the design and manufacture of steel ball manufacturing machinery and systems. We offer solutions for:
- hot ball forging
- cold ball heading
- ball flashing, grinding, and lapping
- rounding, deburring, burnishing, cleaning of steel balls and various component parts.
At C & S Engineering, Inc., we don’t just design, manufacture, and sell machinery; we work closely with our customers to ensure the optimal application of our products for maximum production and quality. Additionally, we maintain contract agreements with allied manufacturers to supply any machinery or equipment required for producing balls in a wide range of sizes and materials. Through our global network, we provide both new and pre-owned machinery and equipment for steel ball manufacturing. Our comprehensive engineering services also include fully commissioned turnkey installations of steel ball manufacturing systems anywhere in the world.

Precision Ball Division
C & S Engineering offers precision and non-precision balls of all grades, sizes, and materials. We regularly offer balls in the following materials:
- Chrome Steel (52100)
- Carbon Steel: Low carbon/case-hardened and high carbon/through-hardened
- Stainless Steel: 302, 304, 316, 316L, 429, 449
- Ceramic: Alumina oxide, ruby, clear sapphire, silicon nitride, and zirconia
- Nickel Alloy: Monel 400, K-Monel, and Hastelloy C-276
- Aluminum: Aluminum 2017, 6061, and 7075
- Non-Ferrous Metals: Brass, bronze, and copper
- Plastics: Acetal (Delrin®), acrylic (Lucite®, Plexiglass®), nylon, polyamide-imide (Torlon®), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polypropylene, polystyrene, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
- Glass: Black glass, borosilicate, and soda-lime
- Specialty Materials: Cronidur®30, tungsten carbide, and cobalt 2
